What you're probably wondering.
Builders are shipping AI products right now, not planning to, actively building. Investors deploy capital into early-stage companies and want direct exposure to what's being built before it hits a deck. Connectors bring value through their network and taste: they make introductions that go somewhere and know who should meet whom.
Yes, and you should if more than one fits. Apply separately for each role that describes you. Your slot in any given session is assigned by curators based on what the room needs that week, applying for multiple roles is encouraged.
Selective, but not in the way most rooms are. We're not screening for pedigree or polish. We're looking for signal, real work, genuine conviction, evidence that you're building or deploying or connecting at an interesting edge. Brevity is fine. Pitch deck language is not.
Applications are reviewed by the founding curators, usually within a few days. If you're in, you'll get a welcome email with your first session details. If you're not, you'll hear that too, no ghosting.
Both, depending on the chapter. The founding sessions are hybrid, in-person where possible, with a live stream for remote members. As chapters spawn in other cities, each runs on its own format.
Founding membership is free for the first cohort. A membership fee will be introduced when the format is proven and the value is clear. Founding members will be grandfathered at whatever terms applied when they joined.
Growth happens by spawning new chapters with new curators, not by adding more people to the existing room. Each chapter stays at ~15 members. If demand outpaces capacity in your city, a new room opens, you don't get waitlisted into a crowd.
Signal, room fit, and aliveness, not polish. The review is seeded with a relational framework that specifically detects edge-bird founders: people who would be undervalued by a standard accelerator process but have real signal underneath. Sparse applications aren't penalized. Templated ones are.
